How to Pick the Perfect Niche - A No Nonsense Guide for Doing What You Love for a Living

Let's start with deconstructing what the perfect niche is NOT.
The perfect niche is not about keywords.
The perfect niche is not about competition.
The perfect market or industry doesn't require you do hours of research to know it's right.
The ideal niche isn't about affiliate products.
It's not about high paying AdSense ads.
It doesn't care about SEO.

The perfect niche requires no gimmicks, no gadgets and absolutely NO gurus.
It has no plugins, or special tools.
The perfect niche has nothing to do with your blog theme.
The perfect niche for YOU may be the absolute worst niche for me.
Because the perfect niche is about PASSION and purpose and a sense of awakening what it is that you LOVE, and doing that for a living.
Let's do a very simple, tried and true timeless exercise.
Ask yourself the following 5 empowering questions and carefully write out your answers.
  1. Who are You?
  2. What do you LOVE to do?
  3. Who will you do it FOR?
  4. What do they need, crave or truly want?
  5. How do their lives change or transform when you do what you LOVE... for them?
Answer those 5 questions honestly, and you'll have the ideal niche for YOU. Something you would do for free. (you won't have to)
Here is a simple process flow for turning what you love into a living and putting your PASSION into a process that works wonderfully well in just about every niche under the sun.
Every success story has 6 key ingredients.
You can outline your entire business, from start to finish, in one short afternoon, if you can capture and codify the 6's into a coherent plan.
  • Content
  • Character (your public persona)
  • Conversation (what you say to keep your ideal audience engaged)
  • Connection (how you make your ideal audience FEEL about your message)
  • Curriculum (what you sell or offer as a service to monetize your market)
  • Conversion (the process flow by which you turn strangers into subscribers... and subscribers into sales)
Putting it all together.
Just decide.
Start with your niche. Something that you truly LOVE. Something that you have an opinion about. Something that makes you want to get up in the morning and LEAP out of bed to start working on.
Then...
Simply put the 6 "C's" to work. Create content that communicates your character, and that builds a BOND with your ideal audience. Take some of your best content and codify it into a curriculum that you can sell, be it as a service, as digital download or as an informational product.
